Male, single, 28, been in Singapore 18 years. Primary school, secondary school, and Poly all here. Salary only $2,800. Applied for citizenship 1 year 11 months after getting PR, waited a full 1 year 6 months... Thought it was going to be rejected... Unexpectedly got approved the day before the general election. Thank goodness! I think it would've been faster without COVID.

Female, 27, single, came to Singapore 11 years ago. PR 8 years. Took O and A Levels. Private university graduate. IT role at a large local engineering company. Started working last June and submitted the online application right away. Went to submit documents on Nov 12 with only 4.5 months of payslips, was nervous, but the ICA officer was nice and didn't ask me to come back after 6 months. First year salary just over 3K. This May, base salary increased 20% due to company policy changes. Emailed ICA to update Employment Letter. Worried about rejection because I didn't meet the tax threshold last year since I only started working in the second half of the year, so I have no tax records.
